Oaklands School pool is a warm hydrotherapy pool fantastic for teaching younger swimmers. The pool has large changing facilities with showers and cubicles.

Access to the swimming pool

  • Access to the pool is at the back of the school building. Please see below for more information.

  • Please remove your outdoor footwear before entering the pool and changing room areas. Alternatively please use the blue pool shoe covers provided.

  • Parents may remain poolside to view the lesson, Please ensure you remain back from your child's class as this can be disruptive for both the children and teachers.

  • Please do not eat or drink on poolside or in the changing areas.

Changing facilities

  • The changing is mixed gender with with large open cubicles. Please remove your personal belongings from the changing area and bring to poolside with you.

How To Get There

Car: 

Exit ferry road onto Pennywell Road. Take the first exit onto Cleghorn Road. This small road can be found through the carpark of Craigroyston Health Centre. Follow the road around to the back of the school where you will find a car park and set of double doors in corner of the building.

 

Bus:

The following Lothian Buses stop near Oaklands:

21, 24, 27, 29, and 37.

 

Parking

  • Parking can be found in a large car park within the school grounds.
